Generally, through this exam, recruitment are made for 19 services/posts divided into four categories viz. A, B, C & D. Among these services/posts. 16 services/posts of A, B & C categories are Group – A posts as per ROPA, 2019 and remaining three posts of D are Group-B posts as per ROPA, 2019.

Nine services/Posts comes under Group-C. Among these, Post at Sl no. (i) has starting pay scale of Level 15, B.P. Rs. 42600. Posts at Sl no. (ii) to (vii) have starting Pay scale of Level 14, B.P. Rs. 39900, Posts at Sl no. (viii) & (ix) have starting Pay scale of Level 12, B.P. Rs. 35800. These are

(i) Superintendent, District Correctional Home / Deputy Superintendent, Central Correctional Home

(ii) Joint Block Development Officer

(iii) Deputy Assistant Director of Consumer Affairs and Fair Business Practices

(iv) West Bengal Junior Social Welfare Service

(v) West Bengal Subordinate Land Revenue Service, Grade-I

(vi) Assistant Commercial Tax Officer

(vii) Joint Registrar (West Bengal State Consumer Disputes Redressal Commission under the Consumer Affairs Department, Government of West Bengal)

(viii) Assistant Canal Revenue Officer (Irrigation)

(ix) Chief Controller of Correctional Services:

Three Posts comes under Group- D. All of these posts have starting pay scale of Level 10, B.P. Rs. 32100/-. These are
